Spending the weekend at my FILs as he’s still in rehab after flipping a backhoe a month & a half ago.
Son & I got up around 8 this morning & started mowing with the two tractors. Field roads, woods roads, ponds, & such. Done for the day & sitting on the back porch having a cold one & looking forward to a few friends coming over later for grilling & drinking.
My current view
There’s a solid mile between here & the next property line to the south. About 2 miles to the nearest house.

Looks like hell but It’s delicious. Turkeys onion potato corn. Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, mustard hot sauce other stuff I’m forgetting off top of my head.
It’s my grandads old recipe. Hand written on a 3x5 card. We make 30 quarts at the time in that cast iron pot
Any chance in the world you could DM the recipe or post in the Crootn recipe thread? I love a good soup night.
