its not the same anymore when we were kids it was lame.. i got dragged there a couple years ago by an ex and they had a light show going on inside the main tavern and all the tunnels walkways were lit with led lights.. might wanna call ahead and see what events they have going on

Electrician coming this weekend to finish wiring up lights and such in the basement. Flooring being done the weekend of the 26th, then essentially putting in bar area, getting wife's craft room how she wants it, etc. Hoping to be ready by Memorial day...but interior doors on a 8 week backorder.
I don't know why but doors and windows seem to be the breakdown on construction projects across the board

No clue why, but they came in 2 weeks ago. Put off the flooring til the 23rd because we apparently moved to fucking Seattle and supposed to be cold and rainy tomorrow.

Nope. A day bonus any time we open the wellhead during my shift.
Boss is working opposite of me and doing his other duties also.
Weather here in the GOAT KY been like Seattle recently. 30s and chance of snow tonight. 40s and rain tomorrow. Has rained pretty consistently for the last month.
Dad is gonna be my floor guy since he retired. I'll finish up the tile in the bathroom tonight and grout tomorrow. Hes gonna help lay the floating floor in the rest of the basement.

Charleston for a few days, then heading up the coast into NC to check it out too.

Make sure and use the pre-made grout, not the kind you mix by hand. It's 3x the cost, but won't stain or mildew.

General ramblings: I’ve been in a funk for quite some time I think, but I think I’m starting to break out. Got some much needed support helping me with the forum and I feel like I can start being creative again and trying to build some new things. I’ve been basically trying to hold the place together since I couldn’t keep jackofspeed in staff anymore.
I’ve always wanted to just build and entire new internet. Not seperate from internet, but just completely ignore the rest of the centralized internet and build something fun.

Going to shoot some new pistols I recently bought at some steel with a couple good friends later this morning. Then no plans except drink some beers & watch The Masters...nice weather coming Sunday, might cruise around for awhile in the old MG with the top down.

Sounds like a nice weekend. Very similar to what I did last weekend. Had 2 small briskets on the smoker and they turned out delicious. What are you thinking of smoking?
As far as my weekend, honestly, I hadn't thought much about it yet. I know we have dinner plans with some friends of ours on Saturday night but other than that, I think it's pretty open. Maybe I'll smoke some pork or chicken one of the days. Other than that, depends on the weather (wind mostly) for the other plans. Maybe try to hit the golf course.

Thinking about doing a brisket, haven't done one in a while and my youngest son has been asking for it so i think i will. My golf game is getting rusty, need to get out there. How have you been playing?
Beach is about 15 min by car, but i hate fighting crowds and traffic, so will probably just hop on the boat. With the boat you don't have to worry about parking or lugging all your shit from your car to the beach.

I haven't been playing much either, which is why I need to get out to the course. At this point, when I go out, I just plan to have some good holes and some bad ones and not take it too seriously.

When I golf I plan on every hole to be bad, hope I don't run out of balls, and drink fast enough that that makes it fun before I toss my entire golf bag in a cornfield.
