• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Vinyl Only

Got these from my grandads record stash this past weekend. He used to own a record shop, but we are trying to get all of their stuff distributed because they changed living situations

I am thinking of setting up another system myself. I dumped everything years ago but still have two or three hundred albums and an old Dual 1219 turntable from around 1970.
I need speakers and an amp, possibly a turntable. Any suggestions?

I love women in vinyl.

I have a Pioneer Sx727 receiver that I picked up around 8 years ago at an antique store for $80. Built in 1972. Had it recapped a few years ago and currently have some klipsch bookshelf speakers hooked to it along with some recently found Fried A/2 speakers I ran across at a building thrift shore. The receiver is a tank and one of the best purchases I have ever made. Solid Walnut cabinet, everything works, pristine... Just beautiful.

I have about 500 albums... most of which I picked up at Goodwill for pennies. Used to stop a couple times a week on the way home from work. Just had to rummage through a lot of trash. I hit a few motherlodes through the years and walked out with 60 or 70 albums for under $10. I have several turntables, but currently running a Luxman px99. Nothing fancy, but solid.
