On the farm these are called a HOBO dinner: meat, taters, onions as peppers all wrapped up in a foil packet::

Fresh deer (processed Wednesday) and chuck, half pound total.
One onion, bell pepper and some red potatoes:

Add butter and seasoning, wrap in foil and bake 45 minutes at 400.
Great hit dinner for a cold night::

We used to pull out the pie irons while the fire was still low and do HOBO pies after with whatever pie filling people wanted.

Got my first batch of DLJ 2021 umami sauce. I completely changed my ratios in my mash bill. The sauce is thicker and with cayenne, lemon drop, and habanero mash. It turned out spectacularly.

I first thought pale cube steak. Looks great. My buddy hangs and ages deer meet. Sucks ass when he has to resheet the galv.
