I mean it happens in California all the time but federalism saves us normal folks from the dumb shit.

I keep mine at 77, would go higher but anything above that and the candy in the house gets too soft.

Where we live its humid as shit and 77 would be borderline miserable. 72 keeps it pretty comfortable but if the temperature outside climbs to the mid 90's or higher ill have to crank it down to 70 to keep it comfortable.

I just let mine run as much as needed. I don’t pay it any mind.
We don’t have an air conditioner here. We just open wi does and doors. Hottest it gets in the house is about 75 on what is co soldered a hot day here.
We turned our heat off last winter and just use the fireplace. Coldest it is in the morning is around 60. It’s saved us a ton of money. We cut our own wood in the summer.
