So unfortunately I live in a state controlled by libs who don't make decisions based on logic. As of right now, the school district has put out an email saying that effective immediately in our school district, the following rules apply:

1. All staff who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask on District sites and/or at District-sponsored events, excluding graduation ceremonies.
2. All staff are required to wear masks on school buses.

The following is required for students:
• Masks are optional for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3.
• Masks are required for students in Grades 4 and 5.
• Masks are optional for students in Grades 6 through 12 who have been fully vaccinated.
• All students are required to wear a mask while on a school bus.

So at this point, it's either going to be, get vaccinated, or wear a mask. The masks are ridiculous imo, and are not effective at stopping the spread of Covid, so the fact that they're still pushing this at schools really pisses me off.

At this point, I think I'm going to wait and see what the school district does, and hoping that as the numbers continue to drop, they'll remove the mask mandate. I'm wondering what the rest of you that have kids are planning to do with this issue. My kids hate masks, and I don't trust sending kids to get this particular vaccine, with no long term research on how it affects children.

My son is three so it's still daycare for now but he had to wear one for about a month. They just dropped it yesterday (immediately, not waiting until X date, which was nice). I have been emailing our Governor, Health Department, and the day care regional manager weekly for a while now, even before that mandate began. I actually received a response today from the health department, it was a form letter response but I'm surprised I got one. I was considering other options for him if they didn't remove it soon so I'm thankful I don't have to. I'd like to think that my voice had an impact on that decision. Do they require proof of vaccination? Are there religious or philosophical exemptions allowed?

This is easier said than done but what other school options are there? Home schooling looks more and more appealing the longer this shit drags on, at least in Michigan. That's a monumental decision to make and thankfully we don't have to for a few years but I've been looking at it in detail.

No one in my house is getting the jab, we are all on the same page with that.

They haven't stated whether or not they're going to require proof of vaccination, but if this is their position, I'm guessing that they will ask for it. I don't know if there are exemptions allowed at this point, as they haven't provided much information.

If they stick with this plan, I don't know what we'll do. I know I'm not going to ask my kids to wear masks all day every day. No chance. So we could consider either home school or a private school, but I haven't looked into what the private schools are requiring yet.

I am not getting my kids vaccinated. We have a form we can fill out that says it's against our religion. I'm afraid they will just make them wear masks all the time then.
That's what they're stating here in NV. Like I said though, I'm not sure what they're going to do to enforce that in schools, or what they'll do if the students refuse to wear them.

Scientifically covid doesn't even hurt kids, giving them an experimental vaccine to protect against nothing is beyond idiotic.

Frankly it's flat out evil for a Dr to recommend to a child.

Unfortunately you're probably going to have to get involved with the school board. They do all this stuff when no one is around, but if someone there is to speak out against him they can't get away with as much. You need to ask them what peer reviewed studies are they reading that says masks are effective in schools? I'll give you a hint they aren't reading any

OP, here’s what you do. 1. Get them in private school. Or 2. Move down south. Alabama says hi! And 3. Profit.
Honestly, if it were solely up to me, I'd move. However, my wife grew up here and her family lives here so with her dad passing away recently, unless we take her mom with us, that probably isn't in the cards right now. But it's definitely moving closer to a possibility every day right now.

If masks worked there should have been HazMat buckets everywhere for them to be tossed rather than on sidewalks, in parking lots, or put between cans on shelves at grocery stores.

I see discarded masks everywhere including on trails in the woods... makes me sick.
Had Wuhan been Ebola or some other extremely lethal virus sweeping the country these HazMat measures would have been instituted and lockdown would have been warranted. These masks, 6 foot distances and lockdown were just for show. From what many of us have believed since the beginning and what is being released now, Wuhan was a grand conspiracy.

Schools don’t have enough money to enforce that shit. Don’t get your kid vaccinated and tell them to fuck the mask rules. Wear it incorrectly, wear slogans on them, wear ones with holes in the mouth. Basically, protest by showing them how stupid they are and cause disruptions.

just call it a non-violent protest

and if that doesn’t work, then move to a freedom loving state

When I wear a mask, I use one I made from a mesh jersey. Holes as large as pencils. Easy to breath through but gets awfully hot due to synthetic material. Never had anyone say anything.

Has this been discussed yet? Study funded by Cuckerburg finds no correlation with mask mandates. People who advocated for masks, after the data became clear, should be shunned and ridiculed.

Lets make NO mistake about it. Those of us who said the masks were bullshit from the beginning were 100% correct.

It’s illegal for them to ask for it as a public entity.

Unbelievable how so many refuse to follow the science but instead choose to follow a politically based narrative. Beyond time for folks to take on your school boards with facts & the actual recommendations.

FWIW, our schools never had a mask mandate, no one wore them, we opened fully in August & never looked back.
