I have no clue who that is but this show is about English gangsters in the ww1-ww2 Era. It's a great show.

It looks pretty good, I started watching the first episode of season 1 recently.

Seemed all good initially, despite Sam Neils irritating acting.

Tbh, I only made it to the train carriage introduction of the character of Winston Churchill.

Dunno bout others but I find it's kinda sickening that the vile cretan Churchill is portrayed with any sort of reverence.

Is he a core element throughout the series?

I have seen all of the seasons. It’s a great show. It fell off some last season (like most shows due as time passes) but was still really good imo.
