Cig and Dolson (AD) figured out how to de-risk recruiting using portal, which there is now a premium on with NIL. That is the strategy they are still ahead of all the other programs who are investing dollars in HS recruits that are more risky than 2-3 year players that are proven to be productive at the Power 4 level.

Now they also have to fit people into system, scout the right guys (which they are clearly very good at) and fill a new roster every year, which will determine how long this run lasts.

I just think people are reading way too much into it. If the staff sees talent and good fit, that’s what matters. Labels or old stereotypes aren’t going to win games anyway.
