Just in time to push away Democrats and Independents that might start gravitating right in support of the audits.
I think people that vote based on this issue weren’t coming over anyways but it is a dumb topic to waste resources and capital on with so much else that needs done.
I hate abortion but the GOP fights the wrong portions of the culture war on purpose as we all know.

The same way everything else becomes political. I'd never vote for someone supporting it.
Agreed but the GOP themselves should say they oppose it firmly then leave it at that.
Trying to push legislation to reverse it without a clear touchdown has just dug the other side in deeper for decades with zero progress to show for it.
This is the first time that this has a viable chance of getting overthrown.
