I LOVE the Downeast section of Maine. Getting out of the Florida heat for a few days up there is good for the body and the soul.

Maybe they are filming new shows. They have gone away from my cable line up in the past two weeks.

Those types of shows are a true love/hate for me. Love seeing the designs and especially the views of the mountains and solitude.
Hate them cause I likely will never be able to live that dream. Stuck in Florida till the good Lord comes and gets me.

Right there with ya OP, except mine was the building off grid in Alaska shows. I'm in Texas, no way I would enjoy that cold as much as it looks fun. That would wear off real fast.

I may have a little bias as far as Maine goes (a good portion of my family is from there) but the entire state (except Portland) is a pretty cool place to be. If you are someone who enjoys outdoor living. I love the Maine coast, but places like Moosehead Lake offer a lot as well.

Camped every summer, for the whole summer, growing up though so I'm drawn to that sorta stuff.

Parents went to work from camp and everything.

There are plenty of those opportunities in Maine. Very affordable as well. They can even double as rental properties if you are willing to deal with that type of thing.
