• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Just pulled out the shirt I wore on 9/11

I remember the person I stood next to on the train that morning.

For weeks the smell in the subway was horrible.

I will never ever forget that day. It was soooo beautiful, then Hell opened up....
Wasn’t in NYC but remember it like yesterday.

#Neverforget

Can’t imagine the horror many of those people felt, words just can’t describe .

I was building a porch, we had the radio on.

One of the worst hard ass bosses I have ever had gave us the rest of the day off. It was eerie driving home with no planes in the sky.

I was 21 years old had dropped hubs off at work & was driving home when the news broke over the radio. When I made it home, I stood helpless in front of my tv watching as the 2nd plane hit & ppl leaped from the burning buildings. That day will forever be engraved into my brain as if I were watching it all over again.

I will NEVER understand how we went from the unified country we became after that day to the shit hole we live in today.
