It’s worth asking: How much longer will economically vibrant and culturally diverse blue-state America be willing to subsidize its red-state brethren?

Blue-state and red-state America exist in different political realms, with opposing values, belief systems, cultural touchpoints and even civil rights.

From an economic and social development standpoint, these widening cleavages have long been evident. People in blue-state America live longer than their red-state counterparts. They are less likely to live in poverty, more likely to have access to health care, less likely to die from gun violence, more likely to be members of a union and more likely to be vaccinated against Covid-19. In red-state America, family income is lower, and so, too, is economic productivity.

Consider this: According to a 2020 report by the Brookings Institution, Joe Biden won 509 counties in 2020, which encompass fully 71 percent of America’s economic activity. Donald Trump’s losing base of 2,547 counties represents just 29 percent of the economy. In blue- and red-state America, there are two economic trajectories. One is vibrant, diverse and growing. The other is stagnant, struggling and moribund — and it is about to get worse for women now that they no longer have full control over when to have children.

Not much longer. Lake Mead will be sucked dry by the left coast, and they will continue to blame climate change until they have no water

I love how most of these quotes start from a premise that what you are asking is true. And then, rarely seem to answer to any acknowledgements. And if so, you spit out other things that you have accepted as truth. You may sway others opinions if you would engage in a manner that is not from a perspective of authority, and start off as "this is the truth, so why are you dumb" thing.

The rubes around this place are dumb. Just ask them about their vaccination status if you want some proof.

So what, it is like a million times more deadly.
They are also much less of a risk to me because they aren’t currently a pandemic. The risk of COVID is immense currently while the risk from those others in relatively small.

I did receive my monkeypox vaccine though! 🏳️‍🌈🐵

Of course the rube red states will provide back payment to the blue states and food will be one of the forms of back payment. Prices will still be at subsidized rates even though blue states won’t be subsidizing the rubes anymore.
