• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Is this a good price?

I can pick up a pallet of bermuda sod for 205.00 per pallet.
I was expecting it to be more like 350 per pallet. Sodbusters and i see their trucks all around so gotta be ok.

Grass seed is coming in clumpy. I want to get enough sod laid around to minimize erosion.
I dont want rain taking my dirt away

Sure just make sure u have full sun, machete and a wheel barrow
Full sun is there.
Ive watered for 10min per area in the evenings all week

I used Scott's and i think their product just sucks ass.
Borrowing my buddies tractor so at least I killed the wheel barrel.
Im just not sure if im being impatient.
I figure 2 pallets every two weeks til it is done. Maybe 6-7 for entire area.

Horrible price because it’s Bermuda. Can you not grow fescue where you live?
Not well. I live in a swamp. Too wet. Give dropped 32 yards of fill dirt and 26 of top top soil. I was told Bermuda or crabgrass are best for my area. I bought about 17 months ago and tried fescue seed. Came up ok then when it got rainy it all died. So i tried. Did not work
