• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

If you were Russia, how would your people want you to react?

By not starting wars against non belligerent nations. Ideally remove Putin and then bring in EU and US regulators to move the economy away from autocratic rule.

LOL!!. They tried that in 1990s under Yeltsin. They went into heavy economic decline and had junkies on the street.

The globalist came in and took advantage of them.

By “took advantage of them” you mean Russian autocrats undermined all the western suggestions and brought us to where we are today right?

Yeltsin was our lap dog and was not an autocrat. It was our policies that destroyed a generation of Russians.
No generation of Russians were destroyed. The West trying to bring Russia to its senses was the best the people of Russia have ever had it.

Yeltsin might have been favorable to the West but he didn’t run that country, the oligarchs and autocrats did and do.

Now Russians get to watch their sons sacrificed in a meaningless war because a soviet KGB officer can’t accept that the USSR lost the Cold War and broke apart.

No one can argue it is a meaningless war. It is meaningful on the scale of centuries.

Do you honestly think those numbers inaccurate?

If anything Russia has suffered significantly more losses than even Ukraine can confirm given that we know they are incinerating bodies to hide their real losses.
Yes, I absolutely do. They are fairy dust just like the Ghost of Kiev.

Also, even your propaganda numbers, which are not true, pale in comparison to what the Russia lost in WWII.

We have to realize, Russia will absorb some casualties unlike Western armies.

Sure lol

The fact that you think Russia could absorb losses in this war equal to what they did in WW2 just shows how out of touch you are on this subject.

They would drag Putin into the streets and shoot him before 1/2 those losses were ever realized.

Furthermore, Russia is short of supplies and equipment much more so than bodies. They’re practically spent as is. The longer the war goes on the more the war shifts in Ukraines favor. There is a reason Ukraine expects to get Crimea back as a result of the conflict and it’s not because they expect NATO to take it back for them.
