I lost. Just look at the stats. 270 total passing yards between the teams. There was a 100 yard kick return by New Mexico at the end of the game. They threw for 98 yards and had a 69 yard td pass. Terrible beat.
I went to sleep at the end of the 3rd quarter and it was 17-0.
He lost money, betting the under at 44 means under 44 points total between both teams. So he missed it by 1 point

a loss................"the under" is a tabulation of the game score of both teams added together........he lost by one point......which sucks....."the over" would be opposite.

The number stays the same at 44 in this case.........over or under 44. To have the over and under different would be illegal as there must be a winner.......as memory serves me. this might havec changed in the 20+ years that I moved from Vegas.
It’s like blackjack. Both get 17 it’s a push and you get your money back. In this case the total game score was set at 45. I bet that it would be under 45. 100 yard kick return killed me.

The only sport I know of where the line differs depending on whether you took the favorite or the dog is hockey. Not sure if that is still true as I haven’t bet hockey in 10 years though.

Oh, and always bet the over. Once it goes over during the game, you can never lose. Plus rooting for a high scoring game is way more fun.
