Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

We've got wind chill warnings tonight. It's a balmy -4 right now. Went for a bike ride an hour ago and my ass was frozen.
Welp i cut my AC on bc my feet were sweating at 530am. I think it is like 76 now but I'm laying down watching Johnny Cash on reelz so I'm not getting up. I'm pretending to be a coonhound today

80s here in lovely South Florida.
All my faucets are covered and hoses drained. Had to play brick mason yesterday and finally close off a hole where I replaced a faucet bib early this summer. Looks like shit but filled in with insulation and now bricked.

Have a friend who lives in the Charlotte area who just had to put down his black dog named Johnny Cash.

I saw that shit coming from the gumps on radar, but didn't think anything of it.

This morning 68 but winds gust 40-50. Gale warning on boats and rigs didn't cross bridges til it came down to 30 mph. You could feel that front blowing in hard.

Yeah my boy is 8 in May. I'm cherishing every thing we do. We've been to hell and back. Very special bond. He trained me well.
