Well, unfortunately over the years i've known 3 individuals who've suicided specifically by rope/cables around the neck—tied to clothes hanger bars in closets.
On a more positive note; this doesn't work so well with shower curtain rails.
A drunken dipshit tried it at a party flat and only succeeded in destroying parts of the bathroom whilst simultaneously fucking himself up—getting wedged awkwardly—then screaming for assistance which came in the form of drunks busting through the door only to spend 20 odd minutes laughing & recording his half naked predicament until police rolled up.
