Ahh yes. Happy Columbus bringing a plethora of diseases to the natives, forcing Christianity on them and then enslaving them, day everybody! We should never erase history, we should just be honest about what the actual history was. The fact that we gave Columbus a day and not Erikson is a joke.

Common Pleas Court Judge Paula Patrick issued an order on Friday that Mayor Jim Kenney and the city of Philadelphia must remove the plywood box covering a statue of Christopher Columbus.
The 144-year-old statue was covered up due to protests that the explorer represents racial injustice and abuse. Other Columbus statues have been destroyed, including one in Baltimore. When asked about that destruction, Speaker Nancy Pelosi shrugged and said “people will do what they do.”

I’m not mad. I love this country and the freedom we have in this great country. Columbus however, was not a great person, so can we please stop acting like he was?
You act like the natives were innocent about their land acquirement. The pilgrims had superior firepower.
