That is not a proper military uniform as I understand, not so sure this link is true. Have not been in almost 20 years, so the Class A uniform might be different. He is missing a nametag and for the rank he is missing command lapels, and his medals are fucked up. They intentionally altered their uniforms to help conceal their identities. They even know that the photos were taken in a base gym.
They two soldiers in questions are known as cited in the USA Today article.
