I have been hearing news stories claiming enough fentanyl has been seized that could kill everyone in the US a few times over.

Even if the news is exaggerated a bit, the numbers don’t make sense. There cannot be enough demand among drug takers to warrant this much supply.

So what does make sense? A mass terrorist attack where lethal doses of fentanyl are introduced in grocery stores and restaurants? Would be so much easier to pull off than hijacking planes.

So what is the US doing? Are they going to wait for a large scale attack before acting?

What precautions should we take to protect ourselves?

It has almost no smell or taste. Many of the reported deaths are accidental overdoses, because it was added to something else.

You know there are much stronger and deadlier compounds discovered/made since Fentanyl. Just a matter of time before they get released/used on the public. I didn't hear about Fentanyl until the Russians used it on the hostages and their takers in the theater decades ago.
