Watched part 1 last night and was pleasantly surprised, very stranger thingsish. Seemed pretty spot on for high school in the mid 90's. Gonna watch 1978 part 2 tonight

Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Can it be watched with kids?
No. Ironically it is based off RL Stine books meant for children, but in true Hollywood fashion it is smutted up with sex, EXTREME violence and gore and LGBTQ stuff.
Guess it depends on your parenting, think of them like an 80's Jason movie. If you won't let your kids watch that then yeah prob not a good idea.
I found it to be interesting as the first one, 1994, was shot in a Scream/I know What You Did Last Summer style. Then 1974 was shot like Friday the 13th/Texas Chainsaw Massacre in keeping with the era. Pretty neat.
