Would he have the power based on this acquisition to actually be able to do anything or force changes there?

I think its kind of a shot across the bow. It may be that he bought 10% with the threat of buying a lot more if things don't change.

I vaguely remember something about a 10% threshold, where if you surpass 10% ownership it gets a lot more complicated with reporting requirements etc.

I was kind of hoping they'd just let Twitter die. It's already been surpassed by telegram in users. With so many bots on it in the first place I'm not sure it's even worth saving.

I also don't fully trust musk, he's got some weird ties.
I was just hearing about some ties he has to hunter Biden people.
But I suppose once you hit that echelon the is a ton of crossover relations whether you like people or not
