We could all throw infinity money at the forum yet at the end of the day the technical realities of the system itself simply aren't designed to handle the tremendous workload required for a 9000+ page megathread.

The thread ain't going nowhere of course. We're just locking DYCA part 1 to contain the bloat, while continuing on as usual in DYCA part 2.

Could maybe try think of it like balancing a stack of heavy weights on the palm of one extended arm, while people keep adding more and more weights to the stack.

Eventually the weight will be too much for the one arm to handle.

So we're splitting the load between two arms.

Some point in the future we'll prolly have to grow a third and then a fourth arm too.

Unlike y'all X addicts, I simply don't care beyond the fact this X spam is literal junk clogging up the forum causing an array of endless worsening issues site wide.

Of course just as I don't give a flat fuck about X trash, I can appreciate y'all won't care about the massive amount of technical maintenance required to keep this site functioning, which I alone have already spent hundreds of hours dealing with behind the scenes.

Unfortunately no amount of tech maintenance will ever change the fact that this thread is the #1 cause of all technical issues here, numbering in the 10s of thousands.

I realize y'all are invested in this endless thread but the simple fact is it will inevitably kill the forum as threads aren't designed to handle the astronomical strain of constantly processing thousands of pages of shit for every single user itt hundreds of times per minute.

The X spam embeds only compound the problems. Thus embeds are now limited to 1 per post.

Be upset at me if you must, but if y'all want this forum to continue functioning we are going to have to lock this bloated junk thread asap and start a DYCA part 2 before the strain completely overwhelms the system. Fucking miracle it hasn't already occurred frankly.
