I DECIDED TO TAKE MY OWN ADVICE AND USE MY VOICE FOR GOOD.
I frequently encounter young to middle-aged Democratic women who are struggling with the question, “Where should I go from here?" They view themselves as empathetic, nurturing, principled human beings. They've spent their adult lives supporting traditionally left-leaning political positions such as women’s rights, “education for the poor,” helping the homeless, “universal healthcare,” and helping poor “migrants,” all because decent people should care for the less fortunate. However, since Progressive Leftists have very successfully hijacked the entire platform of the Democrat Party, our cultural norms that everyone (left and right) could agree upon have been categorically abandoned. If an illegal immigrant commits a crime against a US citizen, the immigrant is not held to account because their status to remain in the US (so they can illegally vote to keep Democrats in power) has the highest priority of protection under the law by Leftists. Law and order is not a priority in their worldview. These Progressives are not rational, they aren’t interested in recognizing the rights of US citizens with whom they disagree and the need to compromise in order to safely exist in a pluralistic society. We can’t reason with these ideologues because only their agenda matters, nothing else matters. They oppose the preservation of our Constitutional Republic.
Let’s not forget it’s the intention of these Leftists to take our culture over a cliff. The Overton Window effect is perhaps the real goal of these people. They've attempted to move the center of our culture as far left as possible. Consider Hillary Clinton’s recent comments from a Security Conference in Munich, Germany - “migration may have gone too far." As always, she relentlessly manipulates language in order to blur the real meaning of her thoughts to the audience - it is illegal immigration not migration and the Leftists acknowledge their border policies went too far because the polls emphatically reflect the American people’s rejection of said policies. These disastrous “open borders” policies have unequivocally decimated our large cities under Democratic governance and most American citizens are vehemently opposed to them. Hence, the Leftists are backtracking, initiating a protracted pause, regrouping to continue their ultimate goal to move the center so far left that our country and our culture will no longer be recognizable, and they've made a lot of progress.
So back to my initial observation, that young to middle-aged Democratic women are struggling with the question, “Where should I go from here?” This question is still percolating in the milieu of our chaotic cultural erosion. Many of these women are rearing children and still searching for a meaningful life-long committed relationship, they're becoming established in their careers, they're planning for retirement, they're beginning to consider their mortality, and perhaps their legacy as a generation. As they pause to take a quick of survey of the state of our culture - they sense we, as a nation are on the WRONG path and they don’t know what to do. They don’t want to continue on their progressive path but they simultaneously fret and are fearful of abandoning their core beliefs. They want to adamantly resist the decision to embrace conservative views. What they don’t realize is ideas once considered “centered thinking - common ground for both sides” are now demonized as fascist, conservative rhetoric (the Overton Window effect). These Democrat women desperately need a RESET back to the centered thinking they supported two to three decades ago. They should rediscover the core beliefs they grew up with in the 1980s to early 2000s. Blue hair and nose rings aren’t appealing to these women anymore or their potential mates.
I would offer the following suggestion - educate yourself, ask yourself - How did I get here? Historically, good things like racial equality, equal pay issues, and the formation of community services at local levels of government that help indigent people were great wins for the Social Justice movements of the 1960s-70s. Thoughtfully examine what you were taught in college, post-graduate education or social media about our culture. Today, social injustice has been weaponized and acts like ballistic missiles aimed at the moral fabric of our society - not every cause is healthy for society. I think these women were led astray by a polymorphic feminism that hurts women and devastates families and cultures. Begin there. Find mature, happy women to tap as treasured resources. Just listen - no one is trying to dictate how these women should live but a person who doesn’t learn from the mistakes of others isn’t very wise.
