What does this mean for precious metals?
I’d consider moving.
What Does This Mean for Gold & Silver?
Short term:
Neutral to mildly supportive.
Why?
Liquidity stress → markets anticipate easing
Easing expectations → weaker dollar bias
Weaker dollar → tailwind for metalsBut here’s the key:
Gold does NOT explode because of one repo spike.
Gold responds to:
• Sustained balance sheet expansion
• Rate cuts
• Real yield compression
• Currency debasement narrative
Repo spikes become meaningful if:
They persist and grow.
One week?
Noise.
Sustained trend for months?
Signal.

Well, my little friend, that is because you didn't encourage him to work as a kid. You probably bought his phone, and his clothes and his nights out. Otherwise, he'd have five years' experience by now.
Then you encouraged him to go to University, an entirely pointless exercise in an economy that is flooded with useless graduates for jobs that don't exist.
And now you bemoan the lack of possibilities supplied by others for your special son. In this brave new world he is going to have to make the opportunities happen. He will need to learn to hustle; Get gardening, get grafting, get dirty, volunteer, do the dodgy stuff, understand the real world.
Because one thing is for sure, my delicate wall flowers, the world is not going to give you a job. You need to understand where the demand is and supply it.

In the Netherlands, an old couple in their 80s committed suicide together to avoid an eviction from their holiday home.
Due to the housing shortage, the couple were staying at their holiday park bungalow. However, they were set to be evicted and were hit with a 30,000€ fine by the municipality for overstaying the legal 6 month holiday home occupation limit.
They had nowhere else to go and likely couldn't afford the fine. May they have a better afterlife than this hell. Meanwhile, the Netherlands is on track to house another minimum 100,000 immigrants at taxpayers' expense.
