⁣⁣⁣First, Governor Tim Walz signs a law giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.
Packed room. Cheers. Applause. Celebration.
The headline moment?
𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦.
That’s what they shouted as the bill became law.
⁣⁣⁣Let’s walk through what happened next — because this is where it gets serious.
A lawmaker asks a very simple question:
𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘯… 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦?
And the response from election officials?
𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵… 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘵.
Pause.
Read that again.
⁣⁣⁣Now before anyone starts screaming “misinformation,” here’s the part they also said:
𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘵, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺… 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘜.𝘚. 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘯.
So the system relies on… an honor system.
Just sign the paper.
No citizenship verification at the window.
No federal database check.
Just a signature.
⁣⁣⁣𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧’𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔 𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦.
The SAVE Act would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.
Not vibes.
Not paperwork you can self-attest.
Actual proof.
And Democrats are fighting it tooth and nail.
Why?
If the current system is airtight, why oppose basic verification?
⁣⁣⁣Let’s be clear about one thing.
Non-citizens voting in federal elections is illegal.
But when you create systems that blur the lines — when you hand out identical photo IDs without citizenship distinction — you introduce risk.
That’s not partisan.
That’s math.
⁣⁣⁣You can argue intent.
You can argue safeguards.
But you cannot argue that the pathway doesn’t exist — because election officials just walked through it on camera.
And that’s why this story isn’t going away.

If doctors in 1950 could be catastrophically wrong about smoking, fat, and sugar while being completely confident in their recommendations...

And doctors in 1980 could be catastrophically wrong about margarine, low-fat diets, and dietary cholesterol while being completely confident in their recommendations...

And doctors in 2000 could be catastrophically wrong about opioids, hormone therapy, and Vioxx while being completely confident in their recommendations...

Why would you assume doctors today, working in the same institutional structures with the same pharmaceutical funding and the same regulatory capture, have suddenly figured it all out?

The system hasn't changed. The incentives haven't changed. The conflicts of interest haven't changed.

Only your willingness to believe them has.
