Walz blinked; now his cops are protecting ICE agent hotels. Moreover, we have compromised the left's Signal networks, and they are freaking out. Finally, the dead communist uproar never really happened; it's already fading.
The left is losing the battle of Mogadishu, MN, because Trump has stayed strong (If you think sending in Tom Homan is evidence of backing down, I cannot help you).
So, the left has three choices:
1. Continue down the same path. This presents problems since the state (probably not local) cops are helping. Also, it's not getting the traction the left wants. Normies don't like the shooting of the dead commie, but they are not about to stop deportations because of it. Finally, normals will soon tire of the chaos - Trump acting reasonably undermined the left's "The problem is Trump and ICE exist" message.
2. Pull back and regroup for the next Current Thing. Alinsky taught that everything eventually becomes a drag. They could declare victory ("TRUMP BLINKED") and stop the organized chaos. Then they can get ready for another fight. But their own side will be mad. They want to TO SO SOMETHING ABOUT LITERAL NAZIS! That leaves...
3. Direct violence. During the 60s-70s, the left launched a bloody low-scale insurrection with murders and bombings. Groups like the Weather Underground and the SLA fought the police; the government fought them like a criminal matter. This time, the left could again shoot cops, bomb things, and the like. But we just fought two insurgencies overseas and know how to map and disrupt networks. Killing ICE agents, while orgasmic for leftists, would turn the normals hard against the left and all the Trump admin to ruthlessly crush them.
Here's the problem. The left's logic demands escalation against its existential enemy. Direct actions (which we have already seen, but that have had minimal effect) are nearly inevitable. What does a low-grade insurgency look like? Check in next time right here...
