I didn’t comment on this, but I don’t see a problem with it. The airframe is new, they will sweep it for “bugs” and none of the newly installed mission systems interface with the airframe electronics. Boeing was way behind and this helps them catch up. No idea if the system is fully mission capable.
The aircraft is not about hauling around the president it is about continuity of command should something catastrophic happen.
I don’t believe Qatar is a good partner, they are tolerable. They will do whatever it takes to gain influence. I don’t believe Trump cares and the next president definitely won’t.
