Article in today's Dallas Morning News about Trump and Greenland. (Can't post - firewall).
The following paragraph is from the article. It states why Trump is so much different than others. He is not predictable like so many of our other presidents.
The White House has not ruled taking control of the strategic Arctic island by force. Asked whether Trump could invade Greenland, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said Monday that “you can’t leave anything out until the president himself has decided to leave anything out.”

This whole mess over Greenland has shown that they weren't our friends. Trump joked about 51st state and they immediately jumped to preparing for war. Trump mentioned Greenland for security and they immediately took a hardline stand and talked tougher to us than they do Putin. We were their piggy bank and security blanket. Deep down they hated us though.
Don't like that. I'm not built for that shit. Hope its just snow and no ice, but doesn't look like it.
