Remember all that "free transportation" Mamdani promised? Well it isn't as simple as he and his supporters thought it would be. NYC Subway and Bus fares were not eliminated nor decreased, they have been INCREASED to $3.
Now the left are pointing out that HE didn't raise them, the city transit authority did, and it was announced last September; and they are CORRECT! But does that REALLY matter? It goes against his PROMISE. And if he was a Republican who saw a similar thing happen (and it does happen), they would not consider the entire situation. They would just call it out as if it was the fault of the "new guy".
The truth is NOTHING IS FREE. And NYC is going to learn that the hard way. And they sure as heck have it coming. They were WARNED.

DHS: 2 people shot by Border Patrol agents in Portland, Oregon
Two people were shot by federal agents in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, Portland police said. The Department of Homeland Security said the shooting involved Customs and Border Patrol agents.

Two people, a man and a woman, were wounded and hospitalized, Portland Police Chief Bob Day said in a news conference Thursday night. Their conditions were unknown and their names have not been released.

DHS said Border Patrol agents stopped a car searching for a Venezuelan they claim is in the country illegally and a member of the Tren de Aragua gang. DHS said after the agents identified themselves, the driver "weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents."

Just so everyone is clear there were no accidents over the last five-ten years.

This is an excellent policy. This will really hit Hispanics. The problem is that Somalis (another middle easterners) don't use formal wire transfer services. They use "hawala" an informal system that's almost impossible to track. That's what the bags of cash moving through the airport are, part of the hawala system. Easiest way to stop that is to use civil forfeiture and have TSA start grabbing Somali cash at MSP and JFK.

Same here. KY has low prices everywhere but right here around Louisville. Lousiville has some bullshit enviro regs and because we live so close the freaking distributors aren't allowed to buy outside that market. I can drive about 16 miles and save .30.

The metro cities in Texas have a required additive put in gasoline to "save the ozones". It's placed in the gas for the summer. Since we haven't had any winter with sun and temps in the 80's, I'm guessing they are being forced to still include it. That raises the costs about 10 cents a gallon.
