HEY OHIO - THIS IS WHAT SURRENDER ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
Munira Yasin Abdullahi didn’t “win” Ohio House District 9. She was installed
• August 2, 2022 - Abdullahi wins the Democratic primary.
• November 2022 - She runs completely unopposed in the general election.
Why was there no Republican? Not even an independent? No resistance whatsoever! That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because the GOP walked away..
At just 26 years old, Abdullahi entered the Ohio legislature after a decade of formal involvement with the Muslim American Society (MAS), an organization identified by U.S. federal prosecutors as the “overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America” and designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates in 2014.
Her ties are structural..
• Since 2012 - Abdullahi worked as a youth director at MAS-Columbus.
• March 2022 - Just months before her election, she was promoted to Program Manager at MAS’s national office.
• During her campaign, she accepted donations from MAS officials.
• She later redirected campaign funds back to MAS, her employer -a glaring conflict of interest.
In September 2022, while running unopposed, Abdullahi publicly celebrated meeting Rep. Ilhan Omar, calling her “legendary.” Omar followed the same path: enclave politics → activist grooming → state office → national power.
MAS-Columbus, the chapter Abdullahi is tied to, has documented connections to international Muslim Brotherhood leadership, including Salah Soltan, an Egyptian Brotherhood cleric who:
• Sat on the MAS-Columbus board (2000–2004)
• Issued fatwas calling for the killing of Jews
• Promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories
• Oversaw MAS publications praising the eventual removal of Jews from Israel
After her election, Abdullahi continued to promote MAS events, such as “Reviving the Revolutionaries,” a youth conference featuring instructors affiliated with Al Maghrib Institute, where multiple alumni have been arrested for terrorism-related offenses. She publicly said she was “very excited” for the event and was photographed seated next to Asad Zaman, a known radical activist tied to MAS-Minnesota.
And Ohio Republicans? They never even showed up. No challenger to force debates. No scrutiny of MAS ties. No questions about campaign funding.
No warning to voters.
We simply surrendered! This is how power shifts without persuasion.
This is how districts become permanently locked.
This is how America changes while one side keeps pretending elections alone matter.
Ohio didn’t just elect Munira Abdullahi.
Ohio exposed what happens when one party surrenders entire districts and calls it a strategy.
If no one runs against you, you didn’t earn power. You inherited a vacuum. And Ohio voters deserve to know who created that vacuum and why.
