Let’s operate on the basis that the DOJ got the right guy in the pipe bomb. Let’s accept, for the sake of argument, that it is Cole. He does not seem to be a government contractor. No meaningful political connections. No politically meaningful social media footprint. No clear apparent political affiliation one way or the other. We are being told that he was an “anarchist”.If all of that is true, why on earth would the Biden DOJ have risked everything to cover it up?The argument “because it wouldn’t have fit their narrative” - because he’s black, not a Trump supporter - so they would risk the reputation of all law enforcement agencies to cover it up doesn’t make much sense.By the time his lack of political ideology would have been proven/known, the Jan. 6 political damage would have already been done. Biden would’ve already just justified mass surveillance of conservatives, irrespective of Cole’s political ideology. And the media could always paint Cole as a something of a conservative/far right/extremist, as they have done with others. The narrative for why Biden’s DOJ would have risked everything to cover for Cole, a politically irrelevant and politically unconnected figure, does not make any sense. It would have been easier to charge him six months later, frame him as whatever they wanted, and then move on. Or just frame him as an opportunistic anarchist who took advantage of the events of Jan. 6. All of that would have been easier than a cover-up.This is not determinate in concluding he’s a patsy/not the right guy. But operating on the basis that he is the right guy, it absolutely raises questions as to why Biden’s DOJ would have gone to such great lengths to cover for him.
