Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I’ve seen some stuff on X calling out posters claiming to be MAGA with their account based out of some foreign country. When did that happen, and can you still see where an account was started or is based out of? Thanks.

Somalia has been under continual TPS designation since 1991.
This designation was last extended for 18 months in Sept. 2024 by Joe Biden.
The current period expires March 17, 2026. If not extended again, any Somali in the US without other status -- asylum, refugee, legal resident alien -- is subject to deportation.
TPS is a protection from deportation, it is not a legal status to remain itself.
The vast majority of Somalis are in the US under other designations -- but not all are permanent resident aliens or naturalized citizens.
Both asylum and refugee status can be revisited, and both categories can be subject to deportation and removal based on having committed crimes involving "moral turpitude."
Under federal law crimes such as fraud and theft qualify.
What’s happening now - with Zelensky and Umerov leaking the peace plan after talks with the American side - feels painfully familiar.
It strongly resembles what happened in 2019, when Zelensky leaked his call with Trump to the press, triggering a media firestorm from the globalist media on Trump and an impeachment attempt by the Democrats.

I recently interviewed a 20+ year water engineer from near Sacramento. She told me her work load is greatly reduced because state funding for infrastructure improvements (water plants) has dried up. What are they spending all that money on?

No different than anybody else in the world. Who would leave a job right before a pension or bonus? People who have never had a real job might not know that.
Congress gets a pension after 5 years of service. I could use a couple jobs like that.
