As someone that had aunts and a grandmother that were teachers, I can say I am tired of people trying to raise money for teachers.

Its not even that. The money is there. Its the asshole politicians and the school administrators that take it all. If the teachers want to get paid more demand a massive reduction in the administration roles, oh and possibly do better at actually teaching kids to think rather than indoctrinating them in what to think.

My ISD hired a superintendent a couple of years ago. The first order of business was to hire 10 senior administration people at over $100,000 salary each. Yet, the students gradu--er--being given diplomas can't read, write or do math at any acceptable level. Once a month or so I have to fill out my check for services because the manager of the day doesn't know how.

Agree, the money is there it just needs to go where it's intended and needed.
