• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Random question here. Anyone here own a Randall Made Knife? I am local to their museum/store but turnaround time is 5 years for current orders. I've contacted 2 dealers, Buxton Knives in Texas and Nordic Knives in Idaho. Any other dealers out there that I could order from? Thanks.
You can check ebay if you are wanting to go the old/used route. I bought an old case knife that looked like the one my dad got me as a kid that I lost. Might pay a bit more but there is usually everything on there.

👑 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐬 “𝐖𝐨𝐧” — 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

It fascinates me how politicians on both sides of the isle seem unable to do basic math.
The only way Democrats “won” this election is if they’ve convinced the American people —
and the Republican Party —
that 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐲, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Democrats not only lost… They lost big! While Democrats continue to play a game of chicken with Republicans and the American people,
here’s the 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡 that no one seems to be talking about:

📦 𝟏.𝟕 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤.
📦 𝟏.𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐚.
📦 𝟖𝟖𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬.
📦 𝟑𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐲.

Now look where they went:
🌴 𝟏.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚.
🤠 𝟏.𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬.
🌄 𝟓𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚.
🌵 𝟒𝟖𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐚.
🌾 𝟒𝟓𝟗,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚.

Now here’s what they won’t tell you:
𝟏.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬.
It’s a safe bet that if they left a blue state for a red one,
they were likely 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 looking for freedom, opportunity, and sanity.

And here’s the kicker:
𝐙𝐨𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝟏𝟖𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬.
If those 1.5 million Republican voters had remained,
it wouldn’t just have been close — 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭.

So while the optics on TV convince the world that “New Yorkers have gone socialist,”
the truth is far different.
More than a million simply 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.

When 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞,
the only ones left behind to vote are the ones who support them.
So the “blue wave” wasn’t a surge in support —
it was 𝐚 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐮𝐦 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞.

Think about it —
they didn’t win the people,
they 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Along with the 𝐞𝐱𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬,
they also took 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 — 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

So while Democrats are celebrating a so-called “victory,”
what really happened is this:

They 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬.
They 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞.
They 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞.

Democrats didn’t win an election —
they 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬
and surrendered their states to 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬.

But in doing so, they’ll end up 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧.
Because their best and brightest are now bringing
𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬
to states that still value and appreciate them.

But no worries, New York and California —
your numbers will grow again soon.
Because once the word gets out that you’re giving away 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧,
the 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 from the rest of the nation
will migrate right back to your once-great cities.

They didn’t win the election.
They’re just 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐥 —
and 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧.

Where did she come from? What would she propose the response should be? That’s a normal response for an officer down call. I’ve seen more cars then that respond to a officer down call…
That is what isis and alqaeda have said their plan is though. She's just getting the word out. They want to do an attack to draw in first responders and then kill a bunch of them.

Supreme Court temporarily freezes order requiring Trump admin. to provide full SNAP payments

Washington — Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Friday froze, for now, a lower court order that required the Trump administration to swiftly provide full federal food benefits to roughly 42 million Americans.

The order from Jackson is temporary. She said it will give a federal appeals court more time to consider whether to provide the Trump administration with longer emergency relief while an appeal in the dispute over payments for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program moves forward.

The Supreme Court's late-stage intervention came as the Trump administration closed in on an end-of-day deadline, set by a district court judge Thursday, to cover in full food assistance for November and use roughly $4 billion for other nutrition programs to do so. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit had temporarily left in place the lower court's decision, after which the Justice Department sought emergency relief from the Supreme Court.

US judge says Trump cannot deploy National Guard to Portland

National guard troops with guns stand in street

A US judge will not allow President Donald Trump to deploy National Guard members to the city of Portland, Oregon.

The ruling is the latest in a weeks-long court battle over whether the president violated federal law when he sent troops to a US city despite objections from local officials.

Troops had been blocked from deploying to the city due a temporary court order. Now, that order is permanent.

The Portland deployment is part of a series of efforts by Trump administration to subdue protests against federal immigration raids in primarily Democrat-led cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC.

The decision by US District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, is the first time the Trump administration was permanently blocked from deploying troops to a city.

The administration is widely expected to appeal the decision, though, and the issue could end up before the Supreme Court.

When she ruled against the Trump administration earlier this month, Judge Immergut issued two temporary restraining orders. One blocked Trump from mobilising the Oregon National Guard to Portland, while another, broader order stopped him from sending in any troops from any state to Oregon. Trump had tried to send forces from California and Texas.

In the 106-page ruling, Judge Immergut said that she was not blocking the president from ever using National Guard troops, but said that in Portland "the President did not have a lawful basis to federalize the National Guard".
