I’m well aware of the disconnect between farm & consumer prices. Every time I walk into a grocery & see pecans selling for &15/lb after we scraped through another year selling to the brokerages for $1.50llb Farmers have zero control over what they receive for crops. I currently have right at 25k lbs of nuts at a cleaning/brokerage facility with more on the way & won’t know what we’ll receive for them until the cleaning is through & the shellers & the brokers decide what prices they’ll allow.Do you have any idea how much wine the US is importing from Argentina?
Also. Diplomatics.. The Queen of Holland is from there.
The problem with the meat (and other farm product) prices is that there is to many middle men in between all of it. The second thing would be some office people decide the prices, via the stockexchanges. You can do a bullrun tactic on for example corn.. Or during harvest periods extremely lower the prices.. Etc. You do the math.
That egg from the backyard is worth a few cents, the egg in the supermarket (in EU) 50 euro cent per egg.

Dallas — “Crazy Ex” Arrested After Sleeping with 15 of Her Ex’s Coworkers to Make Him Jealous, Then Crashing Into His Car
Police in Dallas say a 29-year-old woman was arrested after a three-week meltdown that included sleeping with over a dozen of her ex-boyfriend’s coworkers and crashing her car into his outside their office when her plan to make him jealous didn’t work.
According to the report, Vanessa Clark began showing up at her ex’s workplace — a downtown tech firm — shortly after their breakup, pretending to “drop off lunch” and “check on mutual friends.” But insiders say she quickly turned her visits into a full-blown revenge mission.
“She slept with everyone he worked with — interns, managers, even the guy from IT,” one employee said. “It was like a competition — who’s next on the Vanessa Tour?”
Over the next three weeks, she allegedly hooked up with 15 coworkers, bragging that she was “teaching him a lesson about loyalty.” When her ex still ignored her, she reportedly showed up to the office parking lot, blasting breakup anthems and waiting for him to come outside.
When he didn’t, witnesses say she floored her car into his, yelling, “Now you’ll finally notice me!”
Police arrived moments later and found her sitting on the hood, smoking a cigarette and saying, “Worth it.”
Clark was arrested for criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and stalking. The office had to issue a company-wide memo banning her from the premises.
