• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Well the Pentagon has already identified and begun the internal transfer process to issue payments via the
Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).

Also this echoes tactics used in the 2018-2019 shutdown, where the Pentagon tapped similar prior-year funds.

How Troops Will Be Paid
According to Pentagon officials, the Department of Defense/Department of War
will reprogram approximately $8 billion in unused R&D funds account for fiscal year 2024.

These "leftover" funds were not spent by the end of FY2024 (September 30, 2024) and are now being reallocated as a short-term bridge to cover the mid-month payroll.

Under federal budgeting rules (e.g., 10 U.S.C. § 127b and reprogramming authorities),
the Pentagon can transfer funds between accounts with congressional notification,
BUT in a shutdown, executive action allows IMMEDIATE use of prior-year unobligated balances to fulfill mandatory obligations like military pay.

This is a one-time fix for the October 15 payday; future paychecks would require congressional action to end the shutdown or additional reprogramming.

The $8 billion covers the estimated $8-10 billion needed for ONLY THIS payday,
based on annual military compensation of about $192 billion (or ~$16 billion monthly).

It targets basic pay, allowances, and related costs for active-duty personnel.

These are Letitia James’s nieces living in her Virginia property &her so-called “tenants.” One of them, Nakia, is a fugitive who reportedly fled North Carolina to dodge arrest warrants and then took up residence in Aunt Letitia’s bank-fraud home.

Meanwhile, James has been aggressively targeting Trump with lawsuits and prosecutions — yet here she is alleged to be harboring someone escaping justice. That stinks of hypocrisy and abuse of power.

I don't think this is good for the Democrats. I mean, you have Donald Trump negotiating Mideast peace and flying to Egypt to oversee an agreement between Hamas and Israel. And meanwhile, Chuck Schumer is parading around the Senate, you know, trying to stage a photo op. I mean, the split screen between actual governance of the Trump administration and just a Senate Democrats trying to figure out their message, right? Senator Van Hollen...called the — the expiring ObamaCare subsidies a ticking time bomb the Republicans planted. They were introduced in ARPA, the American Rescue Plan in 2021. I know. I was in Congress. We all voted against it on the Republican side. That was a Democrat budget reconciliation bill. It got to the Senate and it needed 50 Senate votes. They talked about making it permanent, could not get unified Democratic support to make it permanent. It came up again in the Inflation Reduction Act. They kicked the can down the road again, solely Democrats voting in support of this could not get Democrats to agree to make these permanent. And now, somehow, years later, as the Republicans that are the sticking point. You were right in March, sir! Chuck Schumer should just continue to reopen the government. And right now, Donald Trump is having to take tariff revenue to support food stamp and WIC programs. He's reallocating budgets within DoD so that troops are getting paid. He's actually doing work, and Democrats are still figuring out their message.”

Leave the government shut down. President Trump is about to prove what they never wanted you to understand, that America doesn’t need the Federal Reserve or the IRS to survive.

Through tariff-based revenue, America can fund its government directly through the power of trade and production, not through debt slavery and income taxation.

When America controls its tariffs, it controls its destiny.

No middlemen.

No global bankers.

No Fed manipulation.

The shutdown exposes the truth, we never needed them.

We only needed a leader willing to pull the plug. Checkmate.

Women are such jealous bitches.

Barton Springs pool in Austin used to allow topless women on the "adult" side of the pool (back in the late 70's - haven't been since). It was funny to watch the new puberty boys walk through that side of the pool. The youngsters walked with their heads high trying not to look but their eyes were going 100 different directions. The water in the pool was naturally spring fed and was colder than normal pools. Many of those boys jumped into the pool after their walk through.

Los Angeles County officials voted on Tuesday to declare a state of emergency over ongoing federal immigration raids.

The proclamation gives the county the power to assist residents they say have been impacted financially by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) action.

The declaration was introduced by County Supervisors Lindsey P. Horvath and Janice Hahn and passed by a 4-1 vote, with Supervisor Kathryn Barger opposing.

LA protests timeline: How ICE raids sparked demonstrations and Trump to send in the military

Los Angeles County is home to over 3 million immigrants, according to supervisors, who said the ICE raids have "caused widespread fear" and led to "decreased attendance at workplaces, disruption of local economies, and strain on critical services such as schools, hospitals, and places of worship."

Rent relief for tenants who have fallen behind as a result of the ICE raids and money for legal aid and other services are among the provisions in the declaration.
The dipshits will never figure out the difference between legal and illegal immigrants.

Every single mortgage document that Letitia James signed over the last 42 years had falsified information, this was not a 'one-off - according to forensic accountant Sam Antar
#newyork
Antar, a retired forensic accountant known for his meticulous unraveling of financial puzzles, claimed that this is no isolated slip-up but part of a larger history of alleged misconduct.
Antar, who stumbled upon these inconsistencies while reviewing public filings, stressed his non-partisan approach,
Christina Aguayo News
"I'm not part of this tit-for-tat with Trump or anything like that."
"This isn't a complicated case. It's as plain as day."
James purchased a Virginia property in 2008 but failed to report its mortgage in her 2021 and 2022 financial disclosures to New York State. Suddenly, in 2023, two mortgages appeared—totaling more than twice the property's value—raising immediate red flags.
The mortgage clause specified the home as a second primary residence, however James's tax returns showed she didn't spend any time in the home, and claimed rental income.
This allowed her lower residential interest rates and insurance costs, while she never informed the bank of its commercial use.
Beyond the indicted Virginia home, Antar flagged two other properties—one on Sterling Drive in Virginia and another in Brooklyn—as potential sites of similar fraud.
#ChristinaAguayoNews
The Brooklyn building, certified for five units, was allegedly financed and insured as a smaller four-unit residential property, dodging higher commercial rates.
In 2020, during the purchase, James reported income from the property in her disclosures. But from 2021 through 2024, that income vanished from records—potentially understating her finances to state overseers.
