I work for Enbridge in NC. Within the past 2 years they acquired the gas utilities located in NC, Utah, and Ohio, from Dominion Energy. This makes them the largest natural gas utility in North America, when all the Canadian infrastructure is included. I don’t think they are adding US jobs and reducing Canadian jobs. The current iteration of the integration just makes it seem so. They are still well rooted in DEI just from my casual observations. Most of executive level management is minority and female in a male heavy industry. Still have internal programs promoting diversity and execs using identification pronouns. Also, Duke Energy is shopping their gas utility, Piedmont NG, as well. More US electric providers are getting out of the gas business. Still heavily woke and pursuing those ‘green’ initiatives full throttle.
