I know that’s said in a facetious way, but accurate also. At this point in time, all Christian faiths should stand together - the Muslim doctrine is insanity. As a young kid, my family was in the JWs…I had no choice but to listen to all of it at the Kingdom Hall for several years. Went door to door witnessing about "the truth"…the whole deal. As an aside, going back to our roots on tMB, Prince, the suspected purple poster, was a JW.
They essentially just said the world we lived in was wicked and God (Jehovah) was giving everyone time to realize and be on the right side before Armageddon. Sure, they were trying to bring new people into the JW club...but first and foremost, they were just doing the witnessing that their interpretation of scripture required. They just went too far with their strict interpretation and appeared cultish.
Funny thing is, they're generally very good people...no dogma against whether you can drink or celebrate...except for Christmas because it was a prior pagan holiday (understandable) and that Jesus said not to celebrate his birth, but his death. And no birthdays, again because Jesus said not to celebrate his, and also John the Baptist was beheaded as part of a bday celebration for Herod. Again, a bit cultish but they always maintained that God would judge everyone individually, regardless of “religion”. Now that we see the real "world" today, they were right about a lot of things - it is a world controlled by wicked/evil interests.
TLDR - for the bigger picture, all Christians need to stick together just like all conservatives freaking out about Epstein list etc, and realize we’re all in a spiritual battle against the same enemy. I don’t get time to post much these days but those crazy JWs were right on a lot of individual things.
