Those little girls deserve better. Yet again an example of inept government leadership. We have a list a mile long and growing of our tax dollars being wasted by these crooked, inept, and unqualified beaurocrats failing the American people. It is sickening and until we rise up and demand better and actually hold these criminals accountable shit like this will continue to happen. We should all want blood and actual competent leadership. At this point it’s too late. Anybody worth arresting at this point can drag the process out past the Trump administration at which point the charges will be dropped, reduced or forgotten. Or the ancient culprits will be dead or retired and out of reach. The window for any actual justice has closed.

Man, I'm not sure anything could have helped here. My group of high school friends and I have been consumed by this since Friday and we have analyzed virtually every data point, topographical map, flood zone map, Camp Mystic's layout- you name it, we've covered it and discussed it multiple times over.
It was the perfect confluence of events to create a major tragedy. The headwaters of the Guadalupe River are just a couple of miles upstream from Camp Mystic. That's not a lot of warning time, especially at 2 in the morning.
The remnants of the tropical system stalled out in the exact precise location it could to cause this and dumped 7" of rain in about an hour and created a raging river of destruction. This wasn't water that just rose and receded. This water was moving rapidly, uprooting 100 year old oak trees, ripping structures off their foundations and washing RVs, cars and trucks downriver like they were children's toys. Really just devouring anything in it's path.
And it all happened at the worst possible time presenting the worst possible outcome. July 4th weekend is the biggest weekend of the year for the river. Kids camps are in session. RV parks and campgrounds are at max capacity. And then it happened at 2AM while everyone was sleeping. Nightmare.
At this point, we're now in search and recovery. This is no longer a rescue mission. Praying families get closure as bodies are discovered and identified. There are still 5 campers and 1 counselor from Camp Mystic missing and 160+ other campers/residents/visitors reported missing. I emphasize reported missing, as I suspect that number will increase significantly once this is all said and done and more and more people turn up missing by not showing up to work or school or whatever.
It's just a really sad deal all around and many good people and families are hurting and their lives will never be the same.
They've got to come out sometime. Wouldn't anyone shopping for them using their SNAP cards be committing fraud?
Maybe the MD doesn't want to admit he falsified records stating OBiden was competent and in good health.
There are not enough investigators to check on any fraud by these people. In Texas you can apply for food stamps online and nobody is around to verify income or see if you really qualify.
