But this is stupid talk about the flooding in Texas.

I am sure everyone remembers the deadly flooding in North Carolina. Do you remember?

There was a Hurricane in the Pacific that hit Florida and proceeded north along the East coast. It weakened to a tropical storm and then int a stalled low pressure area. It stalled on NC. A low pressure cell has a counter clockwise rotation, just like a hurricane. The low barometric pressure (low pressure) allows cold atmospheric air to get closer to the ground. When clod air and warm humid air at the surface meet, you get condensation. Or rain.

Your iced drink is creating condensation on the outside of the glass where warmer air touches it.

So now back to Texas.

Hurricane Barry hit the West Coast of Mexico last week and moved North East. Barry weakened into a tropical storm and then into a Low Pressure cell. That low pressure cell stalled over central Texas.

The result is just like NC.

What if the Rainmaker guy used the abundant moisture from the hurricane in conjunction with his product and enhanced the amount of rain to catastrophic levels?

could be. But when you see these extreme weather events it brings up a lot of questions in my mind. If you think there couldn’t be manmade factors because nobody is studying or we don’t have capabilities, check out these people who are leaders in high altitude aerosolized dispersion. My oldest kid is interested in weather and chemistry, so I went down this rabbit hole a couple weeks ago as he is starting to think about college. And you can be sure, it there are academic/scientist types studying it, there are engineers working for private companies trying to make money off of it.
