I recall the hysteria over eating bacon due to nitrosamines because of issues found. Like Vit D in this article, they gave the rats and mice enough bacon to kill a horse. Then did a PR blitz about the harm of nitrosamines. Been eating bacon all my life with no problems. No way I could eat the equivalent in bacon they fed the lab rats. It would kill me too but not from any chemical within.
