Just because he was registered GOP doesn't mean he supported GOP issues. He could have registered simply to vote against GOP people. The fatso and shooter may have been in cahoots passing out false info. He'll be charged in MN with state charges.
Texas doesn't have party registration. You can vote in any party's primary. But you can't vote in both and you have to vote in the primary of the party voted in if there is a runoff. No crossover. I've voted in both primaries depending on who is running. Other states require designating a party. Texas doesn't.
