• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I only have a few problems with this from the article:

“For a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett [in Virginia], Fort Hood [in Texas], Fort Gordon [in Georgia], Fort Rucker [in Alabama], Fort Polk [in Louisiana], Fort A.P. Hill [in Virginia] and Fort Robert E. Lee [also in Virginia],” Trump said in a speech at Fort Bragg in North Carolina marking the US Army’s 250th anniversary."

  1. Fort Pickett should be renamed for another Confederate general. Pickett sucked and there is no excuse for his absence from his troops at Five Forks. Lee basically relieved Pickett and wanted nothing more to do with him.
  2. Fort Polk also should be renamed. Bishop Polk sucked arse. He was late in the Battle of Chickamauga when the Army of Tennessee had great opportunity in front of them.
Keep all the others.

They would rather rule over ashes than to see President Trump preside over a prosperous and free nation. And they will give up everything to see that happen. Remember this moment. The mask is off. I believe they had to find ways to use the last name so it was kind of a workaround on these. Not sure on all but Bragg is a different Bragg than og but name stays legit.
