We gotta raise our standards around here if I’m considered a theologian

I really haven’t done deep dive into end times.

What I did dive into was Jesus last week prior to his crucifixion, particularly when he cleared out the temple.

His main complaint was that the people, particularly those who were the leaders, had elevated the material above the spiritual. The Temple also wasn’t just a place of worship, it was the place of education, it was the seat if the judiciary: it was the institutions. It’s the same rebuke he had during the Sermon on the Mount. This was all occurring when the most powerful empire in the history of the world was ruling, and in debt due to all the wars it was fighting.

Keep that in mind

Do you know what our Founding Fathers were against? 3 things:

1. The debt incurred by then British due to too many wars (hence tea tax)
2. The empire hegemony that Britain built on the back of its Navy, expanding via cheap labor in the US and in the East (India).
3. The corruption of the institutions, particularly the House of Commons and key leaders of industry.
