Martin Armstrong: The Fed Can't Stop Inflation

Tom welcomes back Martin Armstrong from Armstrong Economics for a discussion on the never ending news cycle. Martin begins by reflecting on the current political landscape, comparing it to the challenges faced during the first Trump administration. Armstrong highlights how President Trump has learned from past mistakes, particularly in assembling a cabinet that is not tied to the "deep state." This shift, Armstrong argues, is crucial for enacting meaningful reforms.

The conversation then turns to government waste and corruption, with Armstrong referencing specific examples of misallocated funds, such as support for a transgender opera in Columbia. He emphasizes the importance of transparency and accountability, especially given the staggering levels of debt that governments worldwide are accumulating. Armstrong warns that the current system is unsustainable and that a reckoning is inevitable when buyers for new debt no longer exist.

Armstrong also delves into the global reserve currency status of the US dollar, explaining how its dominance emerged post-World War II. He discusses the manipulation of economic indicators, such as CPI adjustments, to hide the true state of fiscal health. Armstrong's firm has successfully forecasted economic trends and events, including Brexit, by focusing on raw data rather than political narratives.

The interview then shifts to geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflict in Ukraine. Armstrong critiques the handling of the crisis, arguing that it is being used as a diversion from deeper economic problems. He suggests that the war serves the interests of certain European leaders who seek to weaken Russia and strengthen their own power. Armstrong also touches on the potential consequences of tariffs and trade policies under Trump, warning against the risks of contagion in global markets.

Finally, Armstrong offers advice to listeners, urging them to pay attention to developments in Europe and the flow of capital during times of conflict. He emphasizes the importance of understanding global economic trends and avoiding the pitfalls of mainstream media narratives.

My take on the Signal text controversy: 1) we’ve known for some time the Deep State uses SIGNAL to communicate directives/planning 2) we know the NSA can monitor SIGNAL 3) what better way to bring this to light than to get “caught” using it so 3) it comes to “light” so now evidence of the DEEP STATE SIGNAL messages can now surface. I expect to see the script turned on the Dems and Deep State here soon….
I wish. This is an unforced error. They are starting to stack up. I understand the need to go fast, and the musk model is to run with a sharply object, fall down and hope you don’t stab yourself too bad, but damnit get your shit together!!!

Well, there is only one Musk. Not everyone else can be Musk and they should not try to be.

It reminds me of an incident in the 1864 Overland Campaign with General Robert E. Lee. General Lee came up to General A.P. Hill after some of Grant's federals has crossed the North Anna River without significant Confederate resistance. General Lee screamed at Hill in front of a large number troops, "Why did you not throw in your entire corps and drive those people back across the river as General Jackson would have done????????" The good General's anger had got the best of him at that point. The lesson is that there was only one General Jackson to go around and no one could replace General Jackson. No one should be expected to.

Similarly, no one can replace Musk, he is special. No one should be trying to do what Musk can do. It will end in similar failure.

The South's problem in the war can be stated as follows:

  1. There was only one General Stonewall Jackson to go around and he passed away.
  2. There was only one General Lee to go around. In other words, there was no General Lee for the Western Theatre.
Some people are not replaceable no matter what the old adage "Everyone is replaceable" says. Don't try to replace the greats. Whoever coaches UGA next with unfortunately feel this burden also.

WTF does this have to do with the price of tea in China. Musk is driving the fast, Trump is listening, the team is moving fast and making mistakes along the way.

Not advocating for getting rid of Musk, advocating for getting more precise in what the are doing.

I mean you can't do what Musk does. Go slow.

If you try to do what Musk does, you will fail.

I agree with you @GatorOK, but with those decrepit computer OS they have this may have been the best way to communicate. Unfortunately, there must still be a ton of deep state still in play or they wouldn’t have been using signal.
Saw an article that Signal is an accepted method of comms within the federal govt.

How the fvck do you add one of the biggest shithead reporters on the planet. Something is amiss here that we may not find out for a long time.

Also, having read what was published I don’t see TS war plans. Timing and tempo yes, but not detailed planning.

I know I’ll probably get dragged for this, but the Bondi hate is premature. Think Trump’s first term. Thats what she is up against. We have waited for ever to see the list. I’m willing to wait some more if it is necessary to do what is right, i.e. arrests and prosecutions.

If she wasn't out doing interviews all the time things wouldn't be as frustrating as they are. Understand the need for patience, but we have the issues we knew pre election and the DOGE, Tesla and dirty judge issues shoved in our faces

I’m telling you my opinion is she’s the figure head, the distraction, her job is to keep waking up normies and get out there and constantly say that those that committed crimes will be held accountable so when they arrest the big fish, she can be right there saying I told ya. I have ZERO information to back this up, but I think we haven’t heard the last from Jeff Sessions (unless someone here can tell me where he is, what is he doing, etc)…..he very well may be the guy behind the scenes since 2016 writing all the sealed indictments….and hidden in a bunker in ALA

Your keystrokes to God's ear.

I hope they at sometime in the near future they just start rolling out indictments, impeachments and anything else to get this shit to stop. Dems, Pubs, media or anyone else, shake it all out and let people see all the criminals in the light.

If you think about it, Gaetz was probably going to do the same thing as Bondi, just can’t imagine him rolling up his sleeves and getting in the trenches, he was on TV every night as well……
