I sent this out on my X feed as bait for a friend of mine who I had an contentious "conversation" on X last night.
She (should tell you a lot but I digress) claims that:
- to Putin, Ukraine is his "gateway" to the rest of Europe
- that Americans are "so willing" to support Russia
- Trump "hates" NATO (she's since deleted this post, weird!) which I countered that he probably doesn't hate NATO, just wants them to do their fair share
- "Trump sucks Putin's dick" because of the investments he has and wants over there
- Putin invaded Ukraine when he did because Biden and NATO were distracted rebuilding what Trump tore down (this one is particularly comical)
- Putin is as evil an enemy as we've every had. She's obviously not a student of history with that statement.
- Here's a doozy- "but don't worry- Elon is cutting expenditures! ps- those expenditures are rounding errors in the federal budget"!!!!!!!!

I ended up sending her a DM saying I didn't want to be an ahole to her publicly but WTF are you talking about? She continued to go on rants about how Trump loves Russia and Putin and is selling out all of our European allies and that China and Russia are playing 4D chess with us and we are merely arguing about what Elon is doing. So, I concluded that she gets her news from Rachel Maddow and the like and is an over emotional lib female (she's never actually said her party affiliation and worked for the GW Bush campaign in 1999-2000 so I thought she may be a conservative). Gonna need to take a break from her for a while to let her emotional state cool down before I go on offense again when everything I said in our "discussion" proves to be correct.

Just got home from NOLA Mardi Gras. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do: ~ 30 pages. Let's hope by the time I get to the end this time all of the world's problems will have been resolved.

Most of "police actions" the last 50 years have been cleaning up European messes. Asia, Africa and the Middle East were all problems started with european meddling and then we had to stick our noses in to "fix" their F-up.
I wrote Cornyn an email yesterday telling him NO on continuing in NATO or the UN. I told him a full investigation of where the $280 Billion went we sent to Ukraine must happen sooner v later. And that anyone who received one dollar of the $280 Billion as a kickback or campaign contribution must be held accountable. He should also stop pushing an additional $98 Billion aid package including military weapons destined for Ukraine. I'll likely get a puff piece email back, maybe. He's already told me we don't agree on much of anything.
Don't think many or any took any Vietnamese refugees either. Those people were so out of touch with any modern convenience. They arrived in Houston while I worked at CBP. It was not unusual for these mountain and rural people to drop their pants and shit on the hall floor along the way to clearing customs. They also brought many diseases with them just like the illegals are now. There was a Public Health Service person assigned to the Customs area. An 9-5 job M-F and no weekends. Just happened that most of these planes carrying these diseased people landed after this person left for the day or on weekends when he didn't work. He came in the morning, went into his office, shut the door and only exited to piss or get a drink.
