Here's the thing, the "elite" think of each apartment building as one, when actually they are many as there are multiple units on multiple floors. And these neighborhoods will typically have adjacent buildings as part of the complex. They are completely clueless and ignorant

Kamala Harris set women back fifty years with the Brett Baier interview. The old stereotype of the emotional woman who cannot control herself in critical situations was on display. If she lets her anger control her in a TV interview, what would she do when faced with a real threat. Would she get angry and refuse to meet with Bibi Netanyahu? If she doesn't like the governor of Florida, would she be so petty as to refuse emergency funds? We already know how she would react to Bibi, and it's not a stretch to see how petty she can be. Well, if you want a petulant teenager with Marxist ideas in the White House, Kamala is your man or woman or whatever

what is XAI
Answer
XAI, or Explainable Artificial Intelligence, refers to the development and application of AI models and systems in such a way that their decisions, predictions, or actions can be understood and explained by humans. Here's a breakdown based on the information available up to October 17, 2024:
  1. Purpose and Function: XAI aims to make AI systems transparent, allowing users to comprehend why and how an AI system makes a particular decision. This is crucial for building trust in AI, ensuring ethical AI behavior, and complying with regulatory requirements where transparency is mandated.
  2. Techniques and Methods: XAI involves various techniques like:
    • Feature Importance: Identifying which input features most significantly affect the AI's decision.
    • Influential Samples: Highlighting which training data points most influence the AI's output for a given input.
    • Model-Specific Explanations: Some models are inherently interpretable by design, like decision trees or linear regression models, while others might require post-hoc methods to explain their workings.
  3. Applications: XAI is not just an academic or theoretical concept but has practical applications across industries:
    • Healthcare: Understanding why an AI suggests a particular diagnosis or treatment.
    • Finance: Explaining credit scoring or investment decisions made by AI.
    • Legal and Compliance: Ensuring AI decisions in legal contexts are fair and can be justified.
  4. Challenges: Despite its importance, achieving true explainability, especially with complex models like deep neural networks, remains challenging. The trade-off between model complexity, performance, and explainability is a topic of ongoing research.
  5. Ethical and Legal Implications: The push towards XAI also stems from ethical considerations and legal frameworks that might require businesses to explain AI decisions, especially those affecting individuals (like loan denials or insurance quotes).
  6. Public and Industry Sentiment: From the posts on X, there's an indication of interest in AI transparency and truth-seeking, which aligns with the ethos of XAI. Elon Musk's involvement with xAI (the company) and mentions of open-sourcing models could suggest a broader industry trend towards not just developing AI but making it understandable and accountable.
  7. xAI (the company): While XAI refers broadly to explainable AI, xAI (lowercase 'x') is a company founded by Elon Musk focusing on AI to accelerate human scientific discovery. Their mission ties into creating AI that can explain its reasoning, aligning with the broader concept of XAI but with a specific focus on advancing our understanding of the universe.
Given these points, when discussing "XAI," context is key: it could refer to the broader field of explainable AI or specifically to xAI, the company, depending on the conversation's direction. However, both share a common thread of transparency and understanding in AI's decision-making processes.

My FIL is a Berry, but class of 71.

I’m a fellow NCC alum from Jeff. One year younger than you.
Looks like Logan bailed on the NCC. Didn't even know. Tired of getting destroyed by the bigger teams every year lol. My junior and senior years we won 1 game of football against Anderson. It was terrible.
