Doubtful the A50 is giving a target quality track. It will give early detection though which helps cue the S400 that goes a long way and is a very capable weapon. They can sit back in Russia smoke a lucky and fire because a HARM can't get there unless Ukraine is flying in Russian Airspace which they are not.
