Had a checking and savings account there for literally 20+ years financed 4 or 5 cars all paid on time and in full.

I also have other accounts at other banks and with them having just locations in League City which is 1 hour at best of times I just left some money a few hundred in the checking savings.

As they didn't charge monthly service fees and the saving account is limited to number of transactions anyway.

So the other day I got a tax refund and thought I just drop about $5K in the savings as an extra "rainy day" cash account.

I go to log-on and cannot - so reset my password and still didn't work.

Call customer service and she said the accounts were closed.

Told her I never closed them.

She said they did.

I asked ok where's my few hundred dollars.

She said we mailed you a notice several years ago saying they were inactive.

Going on she said since I didn't respond so they charged me a monthly inactive fee until there were no more funds.

I told her I never received it.

Then asked why didn't you e-mail me, text me, or call me? I mean hell I save every e-mail into a folder and they've sent plenty of correspondence in the past both e-mail and text.

She said it was their policy to send it regular US Mail. Not registered nothing just regular fucking mail.

And since they sent notice they could charge the account until all funds were gone.

I talked to some manager prick who was a total pussy - told him this was bullshit did he know how much mail gets lost a year? Asked him man to man if in his opinion if he felt this was fair. Said he didn't have an opinion. Faggot!

He said he'd tell management about my suggestion to also e-mail and text.

He gave me an e-mail to someone else who he said doesn't have a phone number - how fucking convenient.

That POS never replied to my e-mail.

By their nature savings accounts have minimal activity.

This is a University based membership credit union.

And they hid behind some busllshit policy that they "mailed" the notice.
